Reflections
I’ve fiddled about with a variety of ways of sharing photos, which really means ways of adding motivation for me to take photos. None of them have stuck, so we’ll see about this one. My plan is to post here once a week, I think on Fridays, and to simultaneously post some or all of the photos here to Instagram on @wrr_photos.
Reflections on an afternoon in a Santa Fe Brewpub
Kelly and I were sitting in Nuckolls Brewery & Taproom in the Railyard when I looked up and saw this. Reflected light is often interesting and if it’s reflected from a curved surface, particularly an irregular curved surface, it’s really interesting. Those are reflections of paintings on the wall, and yes the clouds are at the bottom … because the reflection is upside down. If you’re not familiar with this phenomenon, try looking at a reflection in a spoon; be sure to check out both sides.
Late light on early blossoms
Walking back from dinner on the Plaza in downtown Santa Fe.
La luz y el cielo
La Luz de las Noches is a winter event at the Santa Fe Botanical Garden. The Santa Fe sky insisted on getting in on the act before turning things over to the night. This one is from the archives: December 2025.
Home
A hint of the view from our home.
Our house from our greenhouse. OK, fine, so it’s more refraction than reflection.
